Famous football player dies during match

A famous Saudi football player died while playing in a match against another local club in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Yasser Hoosawi, a key player in Alittihad club, collapsed and lost consciousness during the match against Al Shabab club in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah on Friday, the Arabic language daily Ajel said.

“Medics rushed to the play ground after Hoosawi fell….examination showed that he was dead,” it said without mentioning the cause of his death.

The paper said Hoosawi’s last tweet on his page was :”My Lord…let those who I had put a smile on their mouths pray for me to have your mercy when I am gone.”
