Saudi gives part of kidney to grand mom

A Saudi man donated part of his kidney to his 70-year-old grandmother after doctors decided only a transplant would save her life.

Saqr Mohammed Al Suqour said he agreed to donate 75 per cent of his kidney after tests showed his blood and body organs are compatible with his grandmother’s.

Sabq newspaper said the operation was performed at King Faisal Hospital in the capital Riyadh and quoted doctors as saying it was successful.
