Saudi police smash “maid” vice ring

Saudi Arabia’s Islamic police smashed a prostitution ring involving mostly housemaids and run by a local woman, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf Kingdom reported on Sunday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice seized four maids and an Indonesian man during a raid on an apartment in the central town of Makkah, Sabq said.

“The ring is run by a woman called Umm Khadija who also illegally supplies housemaids to national families,” the paper said.
