Members of Saudi Arabia’s top law enforcing Islamic body have raided a public amusement centre in a northwestern town to stop a new electronic game which they considered as obscene, 'Okaz' newspaper said on Wednesday.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the most feared Islamic group in the kingdom, sent its men to the amusement centre in Tabuk and threatened to arrest its manager, the daily said.

The Commission’s representative in Tabuk, Ahmed Al Sibyani, said he had seen that game “which exposes many parts of the woman’s body".

“This is a shameful game as some girls were seen playing it…we had to stop it because it is obscene,” he told the paper.

“We warned the centre’s manager that if this game does not stop, we will arrest him…we have a full authority to stop any game that violates public conduct.”
