Teen accuses step dad of raping her

A 17-year-old Saudi girl accused her step father of raping her but her mother said she was lying, prompting the girl to leave the house.

The girl said she was at home in Western Red Sea port of Jeddah when her mother's husband came into her bed room.

"When her mother returned home from shopping, she told her that she was raped by her husband," the Saudi Arabic language daily Sada said.

"But the mother did not believe her and accused her of having an affair with another man after losing her virginity…the accusations pushed the girl to leave her home and seek shelter at a government care centre."
