Video: Man robs his favourite eatery in Saudi

A young man smashed his way into his favourite restaurant in Saudi Arabia just after midnight and used a knife to force open the cash machine and steal its contents.

A YouTube film published by ‘Sabq’ newspaper showed the man, wearing traditional Saudi dishdasha and head cover, entered the restaurant in the capital Riyadh around 12.44 after midnight on December 9 and spent just over two minutes to perform the robbery.

‘Sabq’ quoted the restaurant owner as saying the man had a meal just hours before the robbery and that he stole around SR500 (Dh500).

It said the owner, who decline to be identified, called on authorities to arrest the thief, who he described as professional.
