Video: Mom who starved sons held in Saudi

Saudi police arrested a local woman accused of torturing and starving her sons, including a 12-year-old boy who was taken to hospital.

A YouTube film showed the skeleton-like boy looked ill, pale, lean and famished after he was deprived from food by his mother for many days.

‘Sada’ newspaper, which carried the film, quoted the boy’s father as saying his wife has been torturing and starving their sons for a long time and that he has been unable to protect them after his leg was cut off for diabetes.

The father said his wife has locked up their sons in a cage on the rooftop of their house in the Western town of Medinah without giving them food for days.
