Woman caught selling liquor in Kuwait street

Kuwaiti police have seized an Asian who was selling alcoholic drinks on the street in the Gulf emirate, which strictly bans liquor for Muslims, the Arabic language daily Alanba reported on Wednesday.

The unidentified vendor had the liquor bottles hidden in boxes placed on the pavement in Khitan neighborhood in Kuwait City, the paper said.

A passing policeman who was suspicious about the stuff in the boxes approached the woman but she tried to run away.

“When he caught her and opened the boxes, he found 68 home-made liquor bottles…the woman confessed she had made the drinks at home.”
