Worms in salad; restaurant staff flees

A Saudi customer who went to buy a meal at a local restaurant got the shock of his life when he found live worms in the salad.

Once he recovered from the shock, he quickly pulled his mobile phone and filmed the dish before sending it to health authorities.

 The man said he kept his phone ready as he waited for the health inspectors to come to the restaurant in the central town of Kharj.

“Just as the inspectors arrived, the restaurant workers fled and sought shelter at a nearby building under construction,” he told Sada newspaper, which published the film showing the worms and the fleeing workers.
