Relatives of dead man given wrong body by Saudi hospital

Relatives of a man killed in a road accident along with his friend were given the wrong body by the hospital which later apologized for the mistake.

The family of the man who died in a road crash in the northern Saudi town of Hafr Al Batin received his body from the morgue and headed for the mosque where they performed prayers. They then had the body washed and headed for the cemetery.

“They noticed that the body they were burying was not for their relative but for his friend who was killed with him,” Sabq daily said.

It quoted hospital public relations director Khalid al Osaimi as saying the hospital later apologized to that family for the mistake and gave them the right body.
