Saudi couple told their housemaid is a 'witch'

A Saudi man who had a rift with his wife for nearly two years was told the problem is caused by their housemaid after she cast a magic spell on their newborn girl.

The man sought help from a Raqi (Islamic spiritual healer) in the western town of Taif after his elder daughter told him she keeps seeing the same dream.

After interpreting the dream, the Raqi told the Saudi that there was a magic amulet planted inside the foot of his little daughter.

“They both checked the two-year-old girl’s foot and found that there is something inside the skin. The Raqi then extracted an amulet made of hair and thread and told the father that it has been there since his daughter was born. He also told him the maid did that magic spell with the aim of influencing the family,” Al Jazeera daily said, without elaborating on what happened to the maid.
