Sharjah Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Executive Council Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi has issued a decision cancelling all cumulative fines on the renewal of expired commercial licences in the emirate of Sharjah.

The move comes in line with the keenness of the government of Sharjah to support the business and investment sectors in the emirate.

According to the executive council's decision number 27 of year 2010, article one, all the fines on the expired commercial licences are cancelled with immediate effect.

The Department of Economic Development in Sharjah called on owners of the expired licences to contact the licences registration and the legal affairs sections to either renew or cancel their licences.

Ali bin Salem Al Mahmoud, head of the department, said the decision follows the directives from His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to support the investment and economic sectors in the emirate.
