Sheikh Hassa bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum has decided to pay Dh250,000 for the treatment of a 15-year-old Bangladeshi girl suffering from Leukemia.

Sheika Hassa decided to treat Marwa at Dubai Hospital after her case was published by the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum last week.

“Sheikha Hassa has undertaken to pay the costs of treatment for the patient, who needed Dh350,000 to have her life saved,” the paper said.

It said an unknown donor agreed to pay Dh100,000 for the patient, leaving her family struggling to raise the remaining funds despite their limited financial resources.

“Marwa was very happy and expressed her gratitude for Sheikh Hassa’s generous gesture…she said that she was not surprised by this gesture which is typical of the UAE people,” the paper said.
