13-year-old girl impregnated by dad

Colombo: A 13-year-old girl in Sri Lanka is in hospital after she was allegedly impregnated by her father.

According to a ‘Mawbima’ report, the minor child along with her two siblings were staying with her grandmother after her mother left the country for work abroad.

The incident came to light when her grandmother noticed physical changes in the child.

Upon inquiry, it was revealed that the father visited the house whenever the grandmother was not at home and raped the girl.

The man has been arrested.

The child is undergoing tests.
