Lankan found dead at Kuwait building site

A Sri Lankan man has been found dead at a hotel construction site in the Reegai area of Kuwait and police have arrested his wife and three others on suspicion over his death, the ‘Lankadeepa’ newspaper has reported.

The victim has been identified as, Ranjith Perera alias Tony, aged 47, who had gone for employment from Ambalangoda of Sri Lanka while two of the suspects arrested were said to have been living in the victim’s house in Kuwait.

It has been disclosed that Tony, who had left home for work, had not returned home and eight days later, his body was identified from a garbage dump at the newly constructed hotel complex site near the Ramadan Hotel Complex.

The police found severe injuries on his scalp and face and his body in bad condition.

As his death was considered mysterious, the police has started investigating the crime.
