Man attempts to rape a 10-year-old girl

SRI LANKA: A man accused of attempting to rape a 10-year-old girl, has been granted bail after paying Rs. 100,000 (Dh 186,058.98), ‘Mirror’ reported.

The girl went to a neighbouring apartment to pluck some flowers, when the suspect called her on the pretext of giving her marble balls to play with and then attempted to molest the kid.

According to the complaint filed at the Negombo police, the suspect, who is a resident in Kimbulapitiya, tried take her into his house by force after she refused his offer.

Fortunately, the girl’s mother happened to pass by the house at that moment and manged to rescue her daughter.
