Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) CEO Ashley de Silva told the media that a four-member committee has been appointed to review media reports of the management and national selectors of the Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team for allegedly soliciting sexual bribe from players seeking a place in the national team, the ‘Ada Derana’ has reported.

“Review will be based on local media reports since there have been no complaints,” he said.

After the media reports, an emergency meeting was called on Monday which decided to review allegations that sexual bribe from the woman players had been solicited by the management and the national selectors.

“There is no such thing called ‘inquiry’ into the matter. What we do here is a review of the reports since this is a serious allegation,” De Silva said.

A four-member committee comprising Mohan de Silva, Nishantha Ranatunga, Hirantha Perera and Sanath Jayasuriya, has been appointed by the executive committee of SLC to investigate the allegation.
