Toddler falls into water bucket, dies

A toddler died after she fell into a half-filled water bucket in the garden of the house.

The incident happened in Dickwella area in Sri Lanka, ‘Lankadeepa’ reported.

Around 2.30 pm, the toddler’s father was watching TV with his elder daughter while the mother was busy in the kitchen when they realised that the child was missing.

They started searching for her and found her fallen upside down in the water bucket. She was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The post-mortem revealed that she died due to lack of breathing after she fell into the bucket.
