Study to find ways to eradicate infiltration

To eliminate the practice of illegal infiltration to the country and the unlawful residency, the Interior Ministry is planning to conduct systematic and scientific studies, the results of which will subsequently be submitted to the higher authorities in the UAE for adoption.

This was announced by Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation and Residence and Ports in the Interior Ministry on Sunday, while paying a visit to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the Emirate of Fujairah.

Al Menhali has issued directives to begin the study with the aim of finding efficient ways to eradicate the phenomenon of infiltration the country faces since several decades.

During the visit Al Menhali met with the officials at the Directorate in the emirate of Fujairah and gave them guidelines to overcome obstacles that hinder smooth progress of work on day-today level and asked them to ease procedures to help the customers at the department.
