For years an adorable toddler meme dubbed the 'success kid' has delivered countless laughs and smiles across the Internet.

Now the actual boy's father needs the Internet's help.

That baby is now an 8-year-old boy named Sammy Griner, and his father needs a kidney transplant.

Justin Griner, 39, discovered his kidneys were failing before Sammy was born, but he now spends about four hours a day three days a week undergoing dialysis, Griner told ABC News, adding that the longer he's on it, the greater his risk of complications.

So Sammy's mother, Laney Griner, launched a GoFundMe site on April 8 to help find a living donor and raise money toward the costs of Justin's transplant.

Medicare will cover 80 percent of Justin's post-surgery costs, but the Griners will still need a lot of money to cover drugs alone, and he'll be on many drugs for the rest of his life, she said.

In a major win for the World Wide Web and humanity, the Griners have managed to collect way beyond their target of $75,000 in just a week.

Not only this, netizens are also sending their best wishes to the family, with many offering to undergo required tests to see if their kidneys are a match with Justin.
