Teen girl impregnated by uncle

A 14-year-old Egyptian girl was impregnated by her uncle following a relationship that lasted several months, newspapers in the Arab country reported on Monday.

Shaima told police she had an affair with her uncle after she was neglected by her family and that she was dating him at his apartment next door in the capital Cairo.

Newspapers quoted police as saying Shaima was told by a doctor that she was in her 8^th month pregnancy after she was taken to the hospital by her uncle.

“Her uncle confessed to having a relationship with his niece but denied he is the father of the baby. He claimed that Shaima had affairs with many other men and that one of them could be the father,” a police source said.

The report said the 36-year-old uncle was arrested and that Shaima was admitted to hospital for examination to identify the baby’s father.
