It’s airfares on the cheap for UAE travellers this week, with air-tickets on sale at both local and international airlines.

Dubai-based low-cost carrier flydubai is offering discounted airfares on its routes to its customers.

All you have to do is book before midday on Thursday, August 29, for a flight between September 3 and October 10, 2013.

“These pay to change fares still include all taxes. You’ll just need to pay for any extras you choose,” reads the airline’s website.

The deal is valid on destinations like Doha (Dh488), Colombo (Dh782), Khartoum (Dh821), Alexandria (Dh873), Beirut (Dh885), Amman (Dh898), Ahmedabad (Dh948), and Hyderabad (Dh970).

Singapore Airlines is also offering an attractive ‘September Fare Deals’ on its all-in economy fares to Singapore, South East Asia and Australasia starting at Dh2,245.

This offer is valid for sale from now until September 13, 2013 for outbound travel from September 1 to October 8, 2013.
If you are flying to Singapore you need to pay only Dh2,245.

The comparable fares on other popular airlines from Dubai are in the range of Dh2,500-plus.
Another popular destination Manila also has a discounted fare.

However, there is not much of a difference to really call it discounted. Singapore Air offers a ticket price of Dh2,345 whereas other popular airlines will fly you to Manila for Dh2,400.

You can fly to other popular destination in South East Asia like Jakarta, Bali, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi for the same fare, which is Dh2,345.

For Australian cities Perth, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide you need to pay Dh5,145 and with an additional Dh100 (total fare price Dh5,245) you can also head to Christchurch and Auckland in New Zealand.

“I can’t call the offer as really good but nonetheless it is discounted. I have to travel to South East Asia with my family and I will probably go with Singapore Air. The service is also good,” said Ajay Mehta, an Indian national living in the UAE.
