Video: 4 arrested for crazy car stunt on UAE roads

Four Emiratis were arrested last week for attempting dangerous stunts with their cars on a road inside a university campus.

Emarat Al Youm reported that the youth were arrested after they failed to heed police warnings and continued with their life-threatening behaviour.

The arrested four even reportedly showed contempt of police and used expletives against them.

The incident happened on the road of Al Madina Al Jamaya University campus at 3:12 am on Monday last week.

Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zaffin Director General Dubai traffic police Said, “the driver and his three companions defied the police patrols and carried out acrobatic movements in front of them.”

Their stunts include driving the car on two tyres for long distance on highways and busy roads.

The car used to perform the stunts was a Toyota Landcruiser, and the accused had covered the number plate of the car with a silver foil to avoid police or radar from noting the number.

Though the patrol which tried to stop them didn’t chase the car, they kept a close watch on its movement and finally arrested them without putting anyone in danger, said Engineer Al Zaffin, adding that a number of swords and knives were seized from the group.
