A 35-year-old Egyptian woman identified as Nagla’a killed her 50-year-old husband and stored his body at home for 15 days.

According to a report in Al Youm Al Sabea’a newspaper, the woman committed the crime because she claimed the husband was ‘impotent’.

Confessing to the crime, she told investigating officers, “Yes I killed him due to his impotence…”

She claimed that she did try for divorce, but he rejected her suggestions and stopped her from doing so. That’s when she came up with the idea of killing him.

On that fateful day, she waited for him to return from work. She prepared dinner and added rat poison into it and served him.

She told cops that after eating the food he complained of severe stomach and requested her to fetch him some pain killers.

“I gave him lemon juice and added some more rat poison into it. I waited until he died,” she said.

Then unable to get rid of his body, she hid it inside the apartment for 15 days before requesting a driver to help her dump the body in the canal.

However, the driver informed police.

The driver was quoted as saying that he refused to help the woman when she requested his help to dump the body.

She has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
