A woman fell to her death from a high rise in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Cluster X, on April 15.

The incident occurred late afternoon in tower X1, according to eyewitnesses, who stated the woman fell to her death from the 18th floor.

A resident in the neighbouring tower spoke to Emirates 24|7 on the condition of anonymity, saying: “It is horrifying to hear of this death. She was a Russian woman, who was a mother of one small child.

“Where she fell is the same area where children from the neighbouring buildings go down to play.”

The resident further stated the deceased was found in her underwear by security guards of the building, who called the authorities to the scene.

No cause of death has been confirmed as yet.

The resident further added: “Residents of this area have formed a group now and spoken to the children to make them understand things better and to come and talk to us if they are troubled about anything.”
