1 Nepal plane crash survivor in critical condition

Police say an Indian man who was among six people who survived a deadly plane crash this week in northern Nepal is in critical condition. The five other survivors are stable and recovering in a hospital.

The small plane crashed into a mountain Monday while attempting to land at Jomsom airport, killing 15 people.

The airport is a gateway to Himalayan terrain popular with trekkers, and also serves Hindu pilgrims on their way to the revered Muktinath temple.

Police chief Rajendra Bahadur Singh in the nearby city of Pokhara says that one Indian man is in serious condition after the accident. The other survivors _ two Indians, two Danish and a Nepali air hostess _ are in stable condition.
