Sheena Bora murder: Half-sister's SMS warning…

Investigating officials in India may have possibly cracked the motive behind the sensational murder case that has rocked the nation, according to local media reports.

The CBI charge-sheet says Indrani Mukerjea fought with her daughter Sheena over her relationship with her step-brother Rahul Mukerjea – her son with her current husband Peter Mukerjea.

CBI arrested Peter Mukerjea, former chief executive of Indian media behemoth Star India, on Thursday and is being interrogated.

The report says that Sheena and Rahul got engaged in 2011 against the wishes of Indrani and Peter and the four had ‘altercations’ over the issue.

Following that Sheena’s half-sister allegedly sent her a SMS warning Sheena of a possible threat to her life from Indrani Mukerjea, reports, ToI.

According to the CBI, Indrani sold an apartment in the capital city she had gifted her daughter after learning of her relationship with Rahul, reported ‘NDTV’.

Sheena is alleged to have blackmailed Indrani with threats of exposing papers that would reveal she was her daughter if she was not given an apartment in Mumbai.

Officials are also probing allegations about a financial dispute being a possible cause that led to the murder.
