4 girls arrested in attack posted online

Police have arrested four Woonsocket middle-school girls who are accused of beating a 12-year-old girl in an attack that was caught on video and posted online.
 
Detective Lt. Eugene Jalette said Wednesday that three 13-year-old girls and one 12-year-old girl have been arrested.
 
He says the 12-year-old girl and one of the 13-year-old girls are charged with felony assault. Jalette says the other two 13-year-old girls are each charged with simple assault.
 
The girls are being referred to Family Court and the case has been sent to the attorney general's office for review.
 
Police say the attack took place on Friday and was reported to authorities on Sunday. Jalette says the girls were fighting over a boy and that the victim had bruising to her left eye and nose.
