The beach is also famous with adventure junkies and tourists, who throng the place for boat tours to see seal colonies and other marine life.

However, recently the beach played host to another visitor – a long, creepy, slithery reptile!

Beachgoers were surprised to spot a Cape cobra testing the waters. And what caught the fancy of people was the length of the cobra – almost two metres long!

Glistening in the sand, the cobra looked majestic, as they seldom grow to that size.

Many locals reportedly were busy clicking pictures and uploading them on social media.
