Bizarre: Mum murders babies, goes for lunch

CANADA: A mother from Australia is on trial for drowning her two-year-old son and 10-month-old infant in Canada.

The 31-year-old woman moved to Cananda in 2005, fell in love and married a Canadian citizen in 2007. The marriage deteriorated and the woman wanted to leave her husband and move back to her home country with her sons, revealed Australia's News.com.

The woman reportedly gave away her sons' clothing and a few other items a couple of days before the incident occurred.

The day she drowned her boys in the bathtub, she went out to a restaurant after the ghastly deed and ordered lunch. However, she left the restaurant as she was upset, the daily revealed.

She walked to an overpass and jumped off. She suffered several broken bones.

The trial is on and the woman has been charged with murdering her two sons.

 

Uninhabited island gets new toilet worth £50,000

SCOTLAND: An uninhabited Scottish island has been given a state-of-the-art toilet worth £50,000 by a wildlife trust.

No one has lived on the remote island for more than 150 years, reports UK daily Metro

The eco-friendly toilet will service about 6,000 birdwatchers that visit the island every year. Earlier, the visitors had to find a quiet corner as the island did not have any other toilets.

The entire building that houses the toilet had to be made of steel as very strong winds blow over Handa, which is located off the north-west coast of Sutherland, Scotland.

 

Inmate goes on crawl for some hanky panky

US: A male inmate in the maximum-security section of a US jail has managed to embarrass authorities by sneaking into another wing for sex with a female inmate.
 ..A jail spokesman says the 23-year-old man was caught crawling between cell blocks as he was returning to his cell at the Cumberland County Jail.

Officials say a video shows how he entered the women's cell block, going through four doors to access the cell of a 25-year-old woman he apparently knew.

The two had communicated through the ventilation system and manipulated the locks on their cells.

The sheriff's office says the location of the correction officer's station and lack of attention by the officer played a major role in the security breach.

 

Dog disqualified for taking toilet break in front of judges

A dog owner was heartbroken at the world's most prestigious dog show, Cruffts, when Libby took a impromptu toilet break in the middle of one of the rounds.


Libby is a five-year-old cross-breed had earlier made a good impression on the judges. However, when the dog stopped abruptly to relieve itself spectators were shocked and a collective gasp went off, said Metro.

Libby was immediately disqualified from the largest dog show in the world. The disappointed handler rushed to clean up after the dog.

Kid made to stand with sign at street corner after getting bad grades


MIAMI: A garde seven student who performed poorly in school was forced by his parents to stand on a street corner with a sign describing his failures.

The schoolboy spent his spring break at the street corner after he failed in exams and did not manage to score enough to be promoted to the next class, reports WSVN.

According to the news report, the front of the boy's sign reads: "Hey, I want to be a class clown. Is it wrong?"


The back of the sign says: "I'm in the 7th grade and got 3 F's. Blow your horn if there's something wrong with that."

While the boy carried out his punishment, the parents were at hand to make sure that he was fed and watered properly.
 

The father said he did not know any other way of showing his son the importance of getting good grades so he could have better future.

He felt that the punishment was working and his son was beginning to understand why he should study hard.
