NEW YORK: A married science teacher with two kids was known to 'like' a particular male student.

The school management soon heard about it and passed on the information to the authorities who started tracking the pair.

Investigators soon found that the pair had an 'encounter' in the parking lot of private gym, reports NY Daily News.

The duo even allegedly booked a room in a hotel in order to take their so far platonic relationship to a further level. The relationship turned physical between the 34-year-old teacher and the 18-year-old student.

Police officials claim that the woman walked out of her 10-year marriage and it was strictly a one-student affair for the blonde teacher.

Once rumours of their intense relationship reached the school management's ears, they stepped in and forced her to go on paid administrative leave before the story broke out in the local media.

The woman is accused of having sex multiple times with a boy who is now 18.

She was freed after posing $10,000 bond.
