BRITAIN: A schoolgirl, 13, gave birth to her mum’s ex-boyfriend's baby.

The man is behind bars for having a sexual relationship with a minor girl. He was initially charged with rape but later he was given a reduced charge.

The woman set up home with her boyfriend about a decade back when her daughter was merely three years old. Now at 13, she has already had a baby with the man who was a father figure to her during her childhood years. The man had a previous minor indecency conviction.

The 34-year-old woman was shocked to learn the truth when she borrowed her daughter's mobile phone and came across a revealing text message from her boyfriend to her daughter.

The mother says that her girl was close to the man and the mother thought that he was more like a father figure to her girl. She had even confided in the man when she learnt that her girl was pregnant.

The woman is wracked with guilt over not being able to save her vulnerable daughter from the clutches of the monster, reveals The Sun. The man had threatened the girl not to reveal the true state of their relationship to the mother.

The mother is slowly coming to terms with what happened and accepting that her grandchild is also her ex-boyfriend's son.

5 people steal 9.5 tons of GARLIC

VIENNA: Austrian police did not need sniffing dogs to locate this suspected heist - 9.5 tons of garlic.

The Austria Press Agency says police stopped three overloaded and sagging vans about to cross into Hungary from Austria on Wednesday and found them packed to the roof with the pungent cargo. After questioning the five men in the vehicles they charged them on suspicion of receiving stolen goods.

Police say the garlic apparently came from Spain and estimate its value at (EURO)30,000 ($37,500). The men - all Romanian nationals - were not named, in line with Austrian privacy laws.

APA cites one officer as saying it was clear what the vans were carrying even before their doors were opened.

"All three vehicles really stunk like garlic," he says. (AP)
