A teenager in Singapore has been placed under supervised probation for two years for manipulating people and threatening them to upload their nude pictures online.
According to an Asiaone report, 17-year-old Yap Siew Ting along with her 22-year-old boyfriend struck up conversations with men. Ting would talk to them sexually and convince them to remove their clothes, while Soh recorded them on his iPhone.
The duo would then threaten to upload the video and demand money from them.
Ting pleaded guilty to extorting $150,000 from a 22-year-old man and attempting to extort $10,000 from another 24-year-old.
Prisoner attacks cop with handcuffs
A Kuwait prisoner angered by his police escort’s mistreatment used his handcuffs to attack the cop, causing a severe head injury which sent him to hospital.
The Kuwaiti police man was escorting the prisoner from court back to jail when the inmate jumped on the cop and hit him with his handcuffs on the head many times, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.
“The police man was taken to hospital while the prisoner was overpowered by other policemen…he was taken to solitary confinement pending a new trial on charges of attacking a policeman during duty.”
Man barks, kills dog and eats it
A man in Texas went on a rampage and attacked several people before he chased around his neighbour growling like an animal. He then brutually killed a dog and ate it.
According to a 'Daily Mail' report, Michael Terron Daniel told his housemates that he was on "a bad trip" after taking a synthetic drug.
One of his roommates called cops after they failed to control him. When he was stopped, Daniel got down on his knees and started barking like a dog. He then strangled his housemate's dog...bit it and ripped away pieces of flesh and began eating them. He then walked to the porch and sat with the dog's carcass on his lap.
He is taken into custody, while his housemates refuse to file assault charges against him.
Airport guard spills man's ashes and laughs
An US airport security officer opened jar of man's ashes and spills them on the floor.
According to a 'Daily Mail' report, John Gross, was bringing his grandfather's ashes from Florida. It was sealed in a jar and marked 'Human Remains'.
At the airport, the security guard allegedly opened his bag and picked up the jar. Despite Gross cautioning her that they were his grandpa's ashes, she "used her finger and sifted through it." In the process, she accidently spilled it.
As Gross attempted to gather the scattered bone pieces, she started laughing. He is now seeking an apology from airport officials for not respecting a deceased.
Basketball player copyrights his unibrow
Anthony Davis, the basketball player, cashes in on his eyebrow.
Davis trademarked hs own catchphrase 'fear the brow' and 'raise the brow', reported 'Daily Mail'.
Citing reasons as to why he trademarked his unique eyebrow, Davis said it was because he does not want anyone to grow a unibrow because of him and then make money off it.
Five Saudis beheaded,3 for killing Indian while robbing shop
Saudi authorities on Tuesday beheaded four of its citizens for murder and a Syrian national for drug smuggling, the interior ministry said.
Three Saudi nationals were executed in the kingdom's eastern Qatif region for stabbing and then shooting to death an Indian, Kohimo Ahmad, after robbing the shop where he worked, the ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency SPA.
Hussein bin Ahmad Shweikhat, Abdel Aziz bin Hasan al-Maatouq and Hussein bin Ibrahim al-Maatouq were beheaded after the three were found guilty of having stabbed and then shot Ahmad with an automatic rifle.
In a separate case, Khaled bin Saeed al-Asmari, was executed in the town of Abhaa in the kingdom's southern region of Asir for stabbing to death fellow Saudi, Abdullah bin Saad al-Masmaa, after a dispute, the ministry said.
And William Hatoum, a Syrian, was executed in the northern region of Jawf after being found guilty of smuggling drugs into the ultra-conservative kingdom, it said.
Hatoum was the third Syrian national to be executed in Saudi Arabia for drug smuggling since January.
The latest beheadings bring to 45 the number of people executed in Saudi Arabia so far this year, according to an AFP tally based on official reports.
Under the AFP count, at least 76 people were beheaded in 2011, while rights group Amnesty International put the number of executions last year at 79.
The death penalty in Saudi Arabia applies to a wide range of offences including rape, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking, as well as murder, as stipulated by Islamic sharia law.
Aunt lets boyfriend rape niece
An Egyptian woman tried to please her boyfriend by letting him rape her 13-year old niece reported Arabian News Agency (ANA).
The girl’s aunt (mother’s sister) lured niece NS, into her boyfriend’s apartment with whom she had a live-in relationship.
The boyfriend tied NS with an electric wire and sexually assaulted her for 5 days.
Upon returning home, the courageous girl informed her mother who approached the police.
The police raided the house and arrested the unemployed couple.
The man has been charged of raping a minor, possessing illegal weapons and using narcotics.
Ex-fiance’s killer to be executed
An appeals court in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain upheld a previous court ruling and sentenced an Arab man to death after he was convicted of murdering his former fiancé, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The court handed down its sentence after the victim’s family refused to pardon the killer under Islamic law and insisted on his death, Alkhaleej said.
The 26-year-old defendant had denied he was involved in the murder of 21-year-old Eman but her relatives swore in court that he was behind her death.
Eman was reported missing in January 2011 and police investigation showed her ex-fiancee killed her by strangling her with her scarf and burying her in the desert.
