SINGAPORE: A housewife was shocked to discover her photo on an adult content site.

She was tipped off by her friend, reports The Straits Times.

Her image had also been picked up unlawfully by a dating site. The image caption also gave out a phone number where the surfers could call to find out about the rates if they wanted to chat with her.

The image was picked up from social networking site Facebook, where she had uploaded the image to share with friends.

The mother-of-four is extremely embarrassed over the stolen images and told the daily that she wants to sue the websites that have engaged in such immoral acts.

Once personal online images are stolen, it is very difficult to take action against the concerned websites if they are based overseas.

 

Missing wife found naked with a stranger

EGYPT: A shocked Egyptian man who learnt his wife was arrested received a double blow when he saw her scantily clothed standing beside a stranger inside the cell.

According to a report in Al Youm Al Sabea’a, the husband had reported his wife missing. Police  investigations into his complaint led them to an apartment where they caught his wife naked with another man. It is alleged that the couple went to the apartment every morning.

The suspects confessed to being in an illicit relationship and that they were introduced by a common friend on Facebook.

 

Drunk woman bites dog

CHICAGO: A young US woman who allegedly bit her bulldog during a drunken argument with her mother was charged with animal cruelty and domestic battery, police said Monday.

Neighbours called police after hearing loud screaming and pounding sounds coming from the family home in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

Police said 19-year-old Analise Garner hit and scratched her mother's face and bit her on the right hand during the altercation.

The family's 80-pound English bulldog had three bite marks on its back that were visible through its white fur.

"The bulldog finally did bite her back in self-defence," said Sergeant Mike Smith. "There were no charges against the dog," he quipped.

Garner, who was taken to hospital for treatment of the dog's defensive bite, was also charged with underage drinking. She was released on US$3,000 (S$3,767) bond. (AFP)

 

Student with brain tumour told she was 'homesick'

LONDON: A girl who complained of terrible headaches and was even facing issues with walking was turned away by doctors repeatedly. The docotrs told her that she was just partying too hard and was stressed out, reports Daily Mail .

A student of Leeds Metropolitan University, Megan Thompson was fianlly diagnosed with a brain tumor that was as big as a golf ball. But before that she did the rounds of hospitals and specialists for two months without any proper diagnosis.

The UK charity Teenage Charity Trust told the daily about other patients who had to make at least four visits to the doctor before their complaints were taken seriously.

Megan's nightmare did not end with the diagnosis. She underwent a surgery to get her tomour removed within 48 hours of diagnosis. She underwent 12 weeks of chaemotherapy and then she developed a reaction for which she had to take steroids as her nerves were damaged during the treatment.

The steroids affected the bones in her hip and she was forced to go under the knife yet again to have her hips replaced which confined her to a wheelchair.

She tread a long road to recovery and is finally ready to go to college to study oncology to learn more about what she had to go through and also so that she can help others.

Fleeing customer causes petrol pump fire

A driver who stopped for fuel at a petrol station in Saudi Arabia sparked a fire when he fled to avoid paying, causing the collapse of the filling pump, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Shocked customers and nearby passers by joined hands to control the blaze pending the arrival of the fire squads to the station near the southern town of Abha, Kabar Arabic language daily said.

One customer managed to take the number of the fleeing car and handed it to the police, who are still searching for that car.
