Days after a Filipina woman tried to rob a UAE money exchange with a toy gun and posing as a ghost, the report from the UK suggests some burglars can get away with such a daft trick.
According to the Metro 26-year-old Hleb Kudryashov was woken up at his home in Russia and saw a man in the room.
The thief, identified as Bogdan Denisov, 25, said: 'I am a ghost, go back to sleep.'
Kudryashov obliged.
In the morning he discovered his wallet, watch and mobile have been stolen.
Luckily, police later caught the crook when he tried to sell the mobile telephone.
