Camel killed in well after owner refused to sell it

A Saudi farmer was offered SR150,000 (Dh148,500) for his camel but he refused to sell it on the grounds it is one of the best breeds in the Gulf Kingdom. A week later, the camel fell to its death in a 15-metre water well. 

The male camel was grazing outside the farm in the southern town of Bisha when it plunged into the empty well which was uncovered. 

The farmer called the civil defence which used a massive crane to lift the camel out of the well but it was already dead. 

“I refused to sell it for SR150,000 because I want to keep it,.but God’s will is above everything,” the farmer Abdullah Al Salooli said, quoted by Sabq newspaper.
