Cat stuck on palm tree for 4 days saved

Saudi Civil Defence rushed to a high palm tree after receiving a call from a local family that a cat has been stuck on the top for four days.

The family called in the Civil Defence after the cat started to mew “for help” when it apparently realised it would not be able to make it down on its own.

'Sabq' newspaper said a Civil Defence man reached the cat after climbing on a massive ladder, adding that the cat was caught between branches.

“The cat was saved and it was safe but apparently hungry and thirsty. The men proved they are men of noble feelings towards animals,” 'Sabq' daily said in a report from the Northwestern town of Tayma.
