An Arab pharmacist stalking an 11-year-old Arab girl for a while finally managed to force her into his apartment and raped her before hurrying to the airport to catch his flight. But police arrested him just after boarding the aircraft.
Newspapers said the 41-year-old chemist had apparently planned to commit that crime and flee out of the Gulf Kingdom, adding that he could be executed for that crime.
The unidentified man waited for the girl to go to the shop near where he works and intercepted her on her way back home, where she lives in the same building where the pharmacy is located in the western Saudi town of Makkah.
“He grabbed the girl and forced her into his apartment…he then raped her and after he finished, he left her near his apartment’s door bleeding and crying,” Sabq daily said.
It said the girl quickly identified the man in a queue at the police station after he was arrested just before boarding a flight at the western Red Sea port of Jeddah.
“When she saw him in the queue, she started to scream and cry…she was then taken to the hospital for treatment,”the paper added.
