US: A Tulsa man was arrested after police found his 18-month-old daughter locked in a metal dog cage, his naked 4-year old daughter outside on a cold afternoon and him asleep in a drug or alcohol "induced stupor," police said on Monday.

A neighbor called police after finding the older child outside the family's home and getting no response when he knocked on the door around 4 p.m. Sunday, as temperatures dropped to the low 40s. Officers' knocks also went unanswered, "then one of the officers looked inside and saw a small child in a dog cage," Tulsa police spokesman Officer Leland Ashley said.

After forcing their way inside, police discovered the toddler was covered in feces and that a 3-year-old child was asleep in another room. Their father was found asleep on a bed, "in an alcohol- or narcotics-induced stupor," Ashley said.

The three children were placed into the custody of the Department of Human Services, and the father was arrested on a child neglect complaint. The Associated Press is not naming the father so to protect the identity of the children, who showed no sign of physical injury, Ashley said.

Their mother had been at work and arrived as officers were preparing to leave the scene. She was not arrested and her name was not released, Ashley said.

"A citizen was concerned, he heard a small child crying outside for about 20 minutes. He went outside to investigate and found the 4-year-old child," he said. "You have to give credit to that neighbor who acted and did not ignore the situation."

Messages left for the department and the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office went unreturned Monday, a federal holiday.

The father was being held in the Tulsa County jail on $50,000 bond and his court date of Nov. 19, according to online jail records. No attorney was listed for him. He also had no listed telephone number.

Dad drowns son, poisons girl and tries to kill self

US: A recently-separated dad lost his head and in a distraught condition he did the unthinkable. He drowned the couple's son, 5, poisoned their daughter, 6, and tried to commit suicide.

According to police officials, the 47-year-old man was staying with his kids at his stepmother’s place, where the incident occurred, reports New York Post.

Instead of handing them over to their mother as planned, he told his estranged wife, he would like to keep them with himself overnight.

The mother knew that something was wrong only when the man called her up and told her that he was going to kill himself. By then the kids were already dead.

Now, a toilet themed park

SOUTH KOREA: A toilet theme park has recently opened in the South Korean city of Suwon, according to BBC News.

The Restroom Cultural Park is a tribute to the city's former mayor who was born in his grandmother's toilet.

The man was so passionate about the subject that he built a toilet-shaped house for himself and promoted cleaner and better public toilets throughout his life.

The park will have a museum with samples of toilets from different periods and cultures. Fun facts about toilets and a sculpture garden with a variety of squatting figures, will also be part of the display.

The city also holds the “Golden Poop” art festival with toilet-themed artwork, and it lists several of its public toilets as tourist sites, said BBC.

Woman sues doctor over surprise pregnancy

AUSTRALIA: A patient is suing her doctor after finding out she was seven months pregnant.

The Melbourne resident was shocked when she was told after an ultrasound that she was 29 weeks pregnant.

The 25-year-old was shocked as she had made four trips to her GP complaining of nausea but the doctor never suspected anything or referred her for a routine pregnancy test. She was told her symptoms were due to some middle-ear issues, reports News Limited.

The woman was quite distressed when she found out she was expecting as she hardly had any time to put her house in order before the baby arrived.

Police chief involved in child porn case

US: A former top US Immigration and Customs Enforcement official in South Florida has been sentenced to 70 months in prison on a federal child pornography charge.

Anthony Mangione faced a minimum of five years in prison after pleading guilty in July to using his home computer to receive and transmit images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Mangione ran ICE's South Florida operations from 2007 to 2011, including numerous child pornography investigations. He retired a few months after investigators searched his home and office computers in April 2011.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Mangione told U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra on Friday that he began having problems with drinking and prescription pills about three years ago.
