Crazy World: Human baby flesh found in pills

Published

SOUTH KOREA: Customs officials in South Korea were horrified to find thousands of pills filled with human baby flesh powder.

There is a huge demand for such traditional Chinese remedies because they are alleged to cure all kinds of ailments, reports Daily Mail.

The drugs are made in China where certain hospital staff who are on the payroll of medicine manufacturing firms, inform them on the sly about abortion or still-born cases.

The corpses are then processed in highly complicated microwaves used by these firms for dehydration and then powdered to be used as pills.

The San Francisco Times reported that tests carried out on the pills confirmed they were made up of 99.7 per cent human remains.

The daily said that microwave-dried placenta is also in high demand for its so-called health benefits.

According to some reports, some of the baby flesh are derived from new-borns who died in what are known as China's 'dying rooms'. New-born babies are abandoned in such rooms and left to die. This happens to families that dare to produce more than one child.

Suicide kit maker, 93, fined for tax offense

CALIFORNIA: A 93-year-old woman who made headlines by selling suicide kits from her California home was placed on five years of supervised probation on Monday and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine for a tax-related offense stemming from her mail-order business.

Sharlotte Hydorn, a great-grandmother and retired science teacher, pleaded guilty in December to a misdemeanor charge of failing to file federal income tax returns from 2007 through 2010, a period during which investigators said at least seven customers used her kits to kill themselves.

Prosecutors said Hydorn sold about 1,300 of the do-it-yourself asphyxiation hoods during those years but agreed to stop making or selling the kits as part of her plea deal. She was sentenced by a federal judge in San Diego. (REUTERS)
