Crazy World: Indian girl raped by dad for 5 years, pregnant

Published

INDIA: A teenager was repeatedly raped by her 50-year-old labourer father for five years. The 19-year-old is two months pregnant now.

After the man's wife deserted him, he started assaulting his daughter, reports The Times of India. She was only 14 years old at the time.

The sordid deed was discovered when the father hit the daughter on her stomach for refusing him to use her body. The girl managed to escape to her neighbours who took her to a doctor immediately to get her treated for stomach pain.

When the doctor told them that the girl was two months pregnant, she broke down and told them of her five-year ordeal.

While the father has been arrested, the residents of Nagpur are outraged ever since the issue came to light.

Workers fired for wearing orange shirts

FLORIDA: A handful of employees who wore orange shirts to work on Friday were fired by a law firm in Florida. The employees explained that they wanted to look like a group when they went out to socialise after work but the management's decision stood, reports Sun Sentinel.

The firm said that the employees were trying to protest against the management and wearing same-colour shirts had a deeper meaning.

A few employees had resorted to wearing colour coordinated clothes on Friday, which is traditionally a pay-day and the end of the working week. In order to let their hair down, they would generally spend the evening catching up with each other. In order to appear as a closed group, they had taken to wearing similar coloured clothing. However, one of the fired employees told the daily that the management misunderstood them.

The group of 14 employees wearing orange-coloured shirt on a Friday, were summoned into a conference room and informed that they were fired from their positions as the firm understood that they were protesting against it.

A paralegal told the newspaper that the company had no policy against wearing orange shirts. The employees who were fired got no severance pay.

Mom slashed two children, set home ablaze

US: A 25-year-old mother slashed her children's throats and set the apartment on fire in Boston.

She left no stone unturned to ensure that the seventh-floor apartment burnt down properly, reports myfoxboston.com.

She removed the unit's inside doorknob, sealed vents, covered sprinklers and even disabled the smoke alarm.

The children were in critical condition when they were rushed to a nearby city hospital. Firefighters found traces of lighter material on their clothes and skin.

The mother of 8-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter has been held without bail and she did not enter a plea.

Women spend three hours re-doing their partner's chores...

UK: If the findings of a recent research are to be believed, women spend three hours every week re-doing tasks their partner 'haven't done properly'.

Laundry, vacuuming and washing up are the three main chores which males don't do properly enough to satisfy their other half, reports The Telegraph.

A spokesman for Sainsbury's, which carried out the study among 2,000 women, told the daily: ''Modern day men do more household chores than ever before, and nearly half of all couples now share working and looking after the house together.

''Although it's impossible for women to do everything themselves, they still have high hopes for perfection - and if jobs aren't done to the desired standard by their partner, often many feel they could do better themselves.''

According to the poll, almost 50 per cent of women complained that themen never wipe down the kitchen sides after washing the utensils. About 33 per cent lamented that men never keep the cushions in their proper place and about the same number of women also had nothing nice to say about men making the bed.

However, the good news for the males is that about 33 per cent of women do admit that their better halves do try to get things right.
