In almost freezing temperatures an unidentified man sat stark naked atop a historic statue in Whitehall, London, for about three hours, stopping traffic.
According to a Daily Mail report, the mystery man sat stubbornly atop life-size memorial to Prince George striking various poses even as police cordoned off the area and coaxed him to step down.
After some time, he managed to take a sword from the statue's hand and waved it at the crowd.
The reason for his display of nudity is not clear yet.
One of the witnesses said, he was seen acting weird for sometime before he ran towards the statue and started climbing it. Once atop, he quickly undressed and started shouting and striking poses.
While some people found it funny, others were disgusted at the obscenity.
After about three hours of sitting naked atop the statue despite temperatures hovering around just 8degree centigrade and braving cold breeze, he stepped down.
He is understood to have been detained under the mental health act.
Best friends discover they are brothers
In a story that could be a hit soap opera, two boys who became best friends at school discover they are brothers.
Thiago Liam dos Santos, 12, and Lucas de Lim Alves, 14, from spent break times together and played football in Sao Mateus, Brazil, reported Daily Mail.
It was their school head teacher who discovered they shared the same mother. They were apparently separated at a young age because their mother was unwell and could not take care of them.
While Lucas was brought up by his dad and step-mom, Thiago was with his paternal grandmom, just 15 miles away.
In fact, Lucas was recently told he had a brother and he was desperate about seeking him. He confided in his teacher, who helped find his brother. but he was pleasantly surprised on learning his best pal was the person he was looking for.
The teacher then sought the family's permission before introducing the boys to each other.
Thiago said he was initially confused on how to react. But now they have settled and they will spend weekends in each other's house.
6-year-old boy asked to drink urine as punishment
A six-year-old boy was forced to drink urine as punishment.
The student of a school in East Godavari, in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, complained to his parents that his teacher forced him to drink urine from a mug.
According to a NDTV report, the boy claims that he along with three of his friends had urinated in a tumbler an left it in the classroom. Upon discovering it, his teacher asked him to drink it.
When the boy resisted, the teacher forced some students to hold him and forced it down his throat.
Meanwhile, the boy's parents said that someone else urinated and the teacher forced it on their child.
However, based on report from the district educational officer the school has been derecognized.
The teacher is on leave.
Drug addict leaves 5-month-old baby in boiling water
A 19-year-old drug addict has been jailed for inflicting facial injuries to a five-month-old infant by dipping her in boiling water and later biting her. The baby also suffered two broken legs.
According to a Daily Mail report, unemployed Jon Ward from Willerby, Yorkshire, has been awarded eight-and-a-half years for the crime.
He was supposed to take care of the baby girl, but following a weekend binge he tortured the little one. The court , heard that the infant screamed her lungs out when he rubbed her face with a flannel, which led to her skin fall off.
Noting the seriousness of the incident he woke up his 23-year-old girlfriend, but the duo did not give the child medical attention for the next five hours.
He told police that he put her in the tub with both hot and cold water running and went in to make tea and completely forgot about her. He returned to find the baby blue. Only her lips were saved because she had a dummy in her mouth.
The child suffered fiver per cent burns.
