Motorists are wary of letter 'Z' on their cars' registration plate. According to a study vehicles with the letter Z on their plates have the most crashes.

The last letter of the alphabet appears in three of the top five registrations associated with at-fault insurance claims. It was also found on two of the five plates where the driver was the innocent party, reports 'Mail Online'.

According to an Elephant.co.uk analysis based on 643,939 accident claims – 429,870 at-fault and 214,069 non-fault – handled by the insurer, vehicles with the combination NCZ are to blame for the most crashes – two-and-a-half times as many as normal. Those with DKY, AWZ, LGY and AAZ were close behind.

RMZ had the highest number of non-fault claims – more than twice the average.

Statistically, each three-letter combination is expected to be associated with 35.93 at-fault claims and 19.52 non-fault. But NCZ drivers were to blame for 88 prangs, while RMZ cars were hit in 44 instances.

Yamuna threatening Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal (AGENCIES)

A dry Yamuna river is playing havoc to one of the world's wonders. A love story could go wobbly at the base if the river continues stay dry, reports 'Times of India'.

In the Mughal era, wood was used to lay solid foundation. But even the finest ebony in the world needs a steady stream of moisture to ensure it does not expand or contract, posing a grave threat to the structure, say experts.

In the last decade, the river has been completely drying up in the summer months.

The depleting water would dry up the wood, shrinking it that could lead to cracks.

Social activists, environmentalists, businessmen and politicians are joining hands to save the monument.

Too fat to be American Idol fan

(AGENCIES)

A teenager's joy of attending the filming of 'American Idol' was short-lived as she was relegated to the back seat simply because she was 'too fat'.

19-year-old Ashley Kauffman along with five of her friends were excited to get free tickets. But they were soon were shocked to  hear nasty comments by officials at the venue.

Kauffman's friend was the first one to be insulted. A lady said: "Oh, I don't want shorts in front," Kauffman, of Riverside, California, told 'MailOnline'. Then the lady turned to her and said: "Oh no, you're too big, too heavy to be in front!.

To make matters worse, Miss Kauffman and the two other girls were then seated in the back of the theatre. They were stopped by another 'Idol' staff when they moved to the second row. "He grabbed the ticket and said: 'This makes sense why you're not with the skinny girls. You're in the last row."

Kauffman, who is 5'2" and around 150lbs.

She added that the staff had seated two girls who were 'super skinny and wearing little dresses' in the front row where her and her friends would have been sitting.

An usher apologised to Kauffman. After the event Miss Kauffman called her father to tell him what had happened. He said her sister had been watching the show live, had seen some of Kauffman's friends in the front row, but not her.

The college student now wants an apology from 'Idol' bosses and is speaking up to make sure nobody else has to feel the way she did. A spokesman from American Idol who was contacted by MailOnline is yet to return the call for comment.
