Deal of the Year: Sheep sold for Dh1,000,000

A Kuwaiti farmer sold a sheep for SRone million(Dhone million) in an auction in Saudi Arabia and described the sale as “the undisputed deal of the year.”

Key livestock dealers vied to buy the rare ram to “improve and increase” their sheep offspring during the auction at the sheep market in the northern town of Hafr Al Batin.

“The auction started at SR100,000 and ended at SR one million. A known Saudi dealer bought the ram and paid cash to its owner,” the Kuwaiti daily Al Rai said.
