Driver found speeding when he was 2 years old

A Saudi man who passed a weary police test and applied for a driving licence was shocked when he was told he must first pay an old fine for speeding. When he looked at its date, he found that he was two years old.

The man remained in a shock when he noticed the offence was committed in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah while he was living in Taif at that time.

When he recovered and told the police about the mistake, he was informed his request would be studied by a special committee but that it would take a long time.

“I had no choice….why should I wait all this time to get my driving licence…I just went there and paid the fine,” the man, identified as Sami, told Sabq daily.
