Extreme, real-life cosmetic surgeries that scream disaster

From real-life Barbie doll and vampire facials: Welcome to the bizarre world of cosmetic surgery.

We often see the medically corrected, tweaked and enhanced faces and bodies underneath all of that “best” or “worst” of the glitz and the glamour.

But this phenomenon is not restricted to celebrities alone.

A Russian woman has the world’s biggest lips after having more than 100 silicone injections. Kristina Rei, 23, opted to have them plumped up in the style of her favorite cartoon character Jessica Rabbit.

Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova, 22, the anime-style Barbie doll, claims to have had one surgery, a breast job. People started digging through her old social networking posts and profiles, cataloguing all the rumored surgeries she’d undergone—from nose jobs to rib removal.

Genesis P-Orridge and his late wife, Jacqueline Breyer decided to literally become each other through a series of cosmetic surgeries.

Beginning in 2003, P-Orridge and Lady Jaye received matching breast implants, nose and cheek jobs, liposuction, and other procedures that helped them look like twins. After wife died in 2007, P-Orridge, continued transforming himself to look like her.

In the 1990s, French performance artist Orlan transformed herself through plastic surgery into famous paintings and sculpture of women. Now 66, Orlan got two saline implants embedded over her eyebrows to resemble Leonardo’s Mona Lisa and chin work to look like Botticelli’s Venus.

Justin Jedlica underwent 90 different plastic surgeries, completely transforming into “human Ken doll” for about $100,000. The procedures have included silicone implants in his buttocks, belly, biceps and triceps.

Dennis Avner, underwent incredible plastic surgery after an Indian chief told him to follow the ways of a tiger. The computer programmer got extensive tattooing, transdermal implants to allow whiskers to be worn, subdermal implants to change the shape of his face, and got his teeth filed and shaped to resemble a tiger.

Pete Burns, 53, went through lip enlargements, cheek implants, and several rhinoplasties. Burns revealed in early 2006 that he had spent almost all of his life savings on eighteen months of reconstructive surgery after a procedure on his lips went horribly wrong.
