Fashion house Lyst have launched the very first clothing line for the dead.

Lyst are taking Halloween one step further by launching a collection specifically for the deceased called 'Over My Dead Body'.

Katherine Ormerod, Editorial Director at Lyst, confirmed: "What we wear is such a huge reflection of who we are our personalities that it's unsurprising that people now have a clear picture of what they want to be buried in.

"They say life's too short for boring clothes, we agreed and took it one step further. Death is too long to get your last outfit wrong."

The idea came about through customer research conducted by Lyst on how much people are willing to spend on their 'eternal outfit'.

24 per cent of people surveyed were prepared to pay over £1,000 for a stylish outfit for the afterlife.

A 'Try Before You Die' service is also available to customers keen to purchase their very last ensemble.
