Girl conned by dad to marry 80-year-old man

A Saudi father conned his 18-year-old daughter so she will marry an 80-year-old rich man instead of a young handsome suitor shown to her by the father.

After 24 court sessions, court in the southern Saudi province of Jazan decided to divorce the girl from the old man on the grounds she was misled by her father.

The girl told court that her father showed her a 'young, handsome' man and told her he wanted to marry her, according to Sada newspaper.

“The girl said she agreed to marry that young man…after the marriage contract was performed, she discovered that it was in the name of an old man aged 80 years.”
