Husband divorces wife over 'fake virginity' gift

A Saudi woman who wanted to give her husband a pleasant surprise on their second marriage anniversary told him she was virgin again after using a Chinese artificial hymen.

Instead of applauding his wife, he divorced her.

The two were celebrating their wedding anniversary at home in the Saudi capital in Riyadh when the wife happily revealed her new virginity secret.
“Instead of getting happy, he divorced her at once….sources close to the couple said the husband suspected his wife could have that artificial hymen when they wedded and that there could be something wrong with her,” 'Sharq' daily said.

The Arabic language newspaper did not identify the couple nor did it say how the woman obtained the hymen as such items are strictly banned in Saudi Arabia, one of the most conservative Muslim nations.

During intercourse, the artificial hymen will begin to ooze out a red liquid that looks like blood.

Sterilise and get a LPG connection

In a desperate attempt to reduce population and increase standards of living, a district administration in Rajastan - the northwestern Indian state - is distributing free LPG cylinder connections, money, mobile phones and dresses to people provided they undergo sterilisation.

The three-day drive, which will conclude tomorrow (March 31) was launched to sterilisation 'target' set by the medical, health and family welfare department, reported Times of India.

The move has been a success. According to Pali district collector on Friday about 500 people chose to undergo sterilisation.

A woman gets Rs1,100, one kg ghee, one sari, one blanket and a gas connection. While a man gets Rs1,600, one mobile phone and one kg ghee all of which is worth Rs5,000. Besides, there is also a Nano car to be won. Those who got sterilised in the last four months will be eligible for Nano car lucky draw, reported the paper.

Mom finds missing child after 4 years

A woman in Ahmedabad, a city in the Western Indian state of Gujarat, was reunited with her daughter after four years.

In a plot that seems staright of the movies, Lakshmi Marwadi, an artisan and seller of clay items, had filed a missing complaint in January 2008. Her  then three-year-old daughter who was playing in fronrt of her house had gone missing, reported Times of India.

A long and painful search bore no fruit and Lakshmni had almost given up hope of seeing her child again.

Meanwhile, she told the story of her missing to one of her suppliers of wooden goods - Meena Mandora. Surprisingly. the latter told that she had a girl whom her son had broght over from his business associates.

Police is investigating the case and are on the lookout for that businessman.
