iPhone scorches woman: Fears she may never breastfeed again

There are studies of the harmful effects of sleeping with mobile phones near you. The radiation from phones are reportedly injurious to health.

Yet it is not uncommon for people to sleep with their mobiles close by. A young mother in the UK had kept her iPhone 4 for charging before falling asleep, only to wake up in pain the next morning, reported the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old was rushed to hospital where doctors administered antibiotics and painkillers for the 5-inch burn on her chest.

She claims the phone was so hot that she could not pick it up.

She now fears that she may not be able to breastfeed a second child, if she chooses to have one.

In another incident, a teenaged boy woke up with a painful burn on his arm after dozing off with his iPhone .

The report mentioned yet another teenager who suffered second degree burns after her iPhone caught fire while in her back pocket.

The MailOnline reported that Apple declined to comment when approached.
